Careless Talk Costs Lives
My Favourite night was probably the Oneida show, where the Brooklyn trio plugged in, opened with a twenty minute 'Sheets of Easter' and closed with a twenty minute cover of Husker Du's 'New Day Rising'. Whether They played any music inbetween my poor, feedback-pummelled brain cannot remember, but I remember thinking "this" is special, your favourtie band playing a secret gig, tracks they wouldn't usually play live, in the cosiest cleanest and best-sounding in London (which sounds like faint praise, but isn't)... I never liked clubs because they always seemd to operate on a policy of exclusion, but the Buffalo Bar has never felt like anything other than home...
