Theatre Royal take the DIY spirit of the Medway Scene and infuse it with ambition and classic pop sensibilities. Formed after a day spent breaking into a derelict Chatham theatre in 2009 with Billy Childish and Lupen Crook, they have since recorded and released a debut album on fledgling label The Preservation Society Presents. Their songs stride effortlessly from hurtling garage clatter through to psychedelic West Coast Pop, delicately balancing melody and intensity.
