Preferring quality over genres, the night has given a platform to the future greats of the music scene - Bloc Party, Hot Chip, Neil's Children, Magic Numbers and Art Brut to name just a few - all of whom have gone onto bigger things.

Big City Redneck - Welcome to Big City Redneck, the bastard child of beaten and wilted brains. We here in the BCR bunker have, for many nights, pondered of the crap we've been dealt in the form of Culture Magazines, lamented the loss of the fanzine and cut and paste DIY formats, despaired over the crud of the New Pollution. So we decided we had to do it ourselves.

Lost in the Supermarket - The Poundland Dolls present a new club night every first Friday of the month at Islington's Buffalo Bar. LOST IN THE SUPERMARKET is stuffed full of underground cult heroes, all manner of surprises and floor-filling, adrenalin-inducing escapades. We have up n coming bands and artists ranging from experimental to mental and everything else in between. Alongside a roster of Guest DJs, we'll be opening our DJ-doors to butchers, bakers,
candlestick makers – you might see your bus driver, supermarket check out girl, or postman gracing our decks for a short stint in the DJ booth. Plus we'll have theme nights, competitions, bargain bins and general fun & games.
Twee as Fuck - A night that's all about fun. And dancing 'till you're dizzy and staying up all night and Sarah Records and C86 and early Creation Records and Janglecore. But most importantly fun. Join Pavla and Elaine as they host new live bands to develop instant pop crushes on, and their hand-picked DJ guests play Indiepop till well gone bedtime.

Crimes Against Pop -In 2003 a crack DJ unit was sent to prison for crimes against pop they didn't commit. These DJs promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the London music underground. Today, still wanted by purveyors of dreary, generic, dismal music, they survive as DJ soldiers of fortune, playing pop, off-kilter indie, hip-hop, electronica and eclectica.
Guided Missile - Legendary Club run by Franz Ferdinand's mate Paul Kearney . Band line-ups are always strong, often eclectic, almost always an eye-opener! After midnight expect to swing your pants to anything from Klaxons to Joy Division to The Fall to Devo to Arctic Monkeys to Queen to ELO til 3 or 4am. Top entertainment!

Upset The Rhythm - UPSET THE RHYTHM is a live music promoter and record label based in London, which is collectively run with a sense of fun and a DIY ethic.
It all began in Autumn 2003 with a bunch of kids who were bored of the London music scene. We felt alienated by most of the shows that we went to and decided to do something about it. We had little experience of promotion, nor the business of music in general, but through enthusiasm, humour and sheer hardwork, we blossomed into a vital promoter in the London scene.
Prom Night - A semi-regular club night at London's Buffalo Bar, playing the best music of the 1980s. Come Prom-dressed for a chance to be crowned King and Queen and take home a coveted sash.
